Life Unexpected stars Shiri Appleby, Kerr Smith, Austin Basis, Britt Robertson and Kristoffer Polaha. Lux (played by Britt Robertson), is a 15 year-old foster child who connects with her biological father, Nate (played by Kristoffer Polaha), a manchild who never knew he had a daughter. Nate teams up with Lux's mother, Cate (played by Shiri Appleby), to give Lux a normal family life.
Life Unexpected is produced by Mojo Films in association with CBS Television Studios and Warner Bros. Television with executive producers Liz Tigelaar ( Brothers and Sisters , What About Brian ) and Gary Fleder ( October Road ). The series premiered on The CW network on January 18th, 2010.
